Grocery Shopping For Weight Loss

Hey there! I’m gonna share with you 3 tips that have helped me stay on track with my healthy eating every single week when I go grocery shopping.


#1 is to create a list


Make sure that you have a list prepared ready to go of all of the meals that you’re gonna be eating for the next 5 to 6 days , so that you know what food you should be going to get and that’s it.

 

So as long as the food is not on the list, you are not gonna get it. This is the number 1 way to make sure that you stay prepared, stay on track and have an offense, plan or strategy the next time you go grocery shopping so you that you don’t get tempted to buy things that are on sale, or things that you didn’t expect would be at the store but they look so good.

 

This will help you stay on track and make sure that you stay in line with your goal the next time you go.


#2 is to not go when you’re hungry


When you get hungry and go to a food store or restaurant, you’re more just tempted to get quick easy convenient sugar filled, fat filled foods.

 

You are ravenous, your body is telling you that I need something quick and easy and the ice cream isle and the chip isle just calls your name so much louder. So make sure that you have a snack before you go.

 

This is the same tip that I would share with you when you’re eating out on a restaurant. Make sure that you have snack on hand so that you are satisfied. So that you can make smarter, better, more conscious decision when you’re going shopping.


And lastly #3 Stay on the outside perimeter of the grocery store

 

Everything that you would need to stay on track with healthy, clean foods is on outside of the perimeter.

 

That means veggies, that means fruits, that means fresh meat and produce. All of the stuff that is not good for your body. Such as junk food, processed food, added sugar. All these dairy filled creams and sauces and everything, those are in boxes, packages, containers, mason jars.

 

All with expirations dates, all that can last on the shelf for months at a time, and that is not what we want to make sure that we're staying clean, we’re staying fresh and we’re staying healthy and organic.

 

So try to stay on the outside of the perimeter. You barely need anything in the middle of the store. So stay on the outside and get all of your foods there.

Those are my 3 quick tips on how to stay healthy the next time you go grocery shopping.
