How to Set Boundaries Around your Goals

Setting boundaries around your health and fitness goals is key to accomplishing whatever you set out to do.


If you really want to make healthy living a non-negotiable, it’s time to start setting up your life in a way that makes doing it easier.


Here are some examples of how to start creating boundaries…


With yourself:

  • Stick with a consistent bedtime routine so that you can wake up at the same time every day to prep your meals and get your workout in
  • Set aside 1-2 days of the week to stock up on healthy foods from the grocery store
  • Limit the amount of time you spend on social media to prioritize your self-care 


With other people:

  • Say no to social gatherings that are revolved around binge drinking and eating (or just say no to those people who pressure you to do so and stand your ground)
  • Limit your time with people who criticize, judge, or do not support your efforts to live a healthier lifestyle
  • Stop saying yes to other people’s requests if it takes away from your happiness or peace



With other life priorities:

  • Decline any meetings or appointments that conflict with your scheduled workout time and request to reschedule or cancel
  • Ask your partner to watch the kids while you get your workout in
  • Set clear boundaries around what time you start and stop working (and stick to it!)


These are just a few examples of how to create boundaries in your life that ultimately set you up for success.


When you get crystal clear on your goals and what it has to take to achieve them, setting boundaries ultimately clear the path towards success!
