It’s been really fun sharing the behind-the-scenes look of what I’m doing to prepare for my upcoming wedding! If you haven’t been keeping up-to-date, you’ll have to tune into my Instagram Stories to get the scoop on my personal life!
With the wedding date 90% locked in, I now have a clear goal on how I want to look and feel on my wedding day. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE my body and am so happy with where I’m at. But, your girl also loves creating and smashing goals! It’s fun to work towards something and see the hard work pay off.
With that being said, here are a few things that I’m planning on doing to become the healthiest and fittest bride I can be:
1. Adding in more HIIT workouts
For the past few months, I was focusing less on HIIT and more on strength training. I’m happy to say I gained 3.4lb of pure muscle and have increased many of my lifts pretty significantly. For example, I was hip thrusting 90lbs and now hip thrust at 130lbs! Yay for progress!
But now that I have a goal of trimming down a bit, I’ll be incorporating more HIIT-style workouts which are AMAZING for fat loss while retaining lean muscle
2. Eating in a slight calorie deficit
I will now be tracking my food a bit more meticulously and focusing on creating a slight calorie deficit. This is the ONLY way to lose weight. While other factors like stress, sleep, and hormones all play a role, a calorie deficit is the only way to lose weight.
3. Reduce processed food intake
I know I preach minimizing processed food, but I’m human too! It was sneaking into my diet a little bit more than I’d like, so I’m going to make a conscious effort in making sure that 90% of my diet is mostly whole unprocessed foods.
