Simple Tips to Stop Overeating Junk Food

If you are guilty of overeating on junk food or sweets, you’re not alone.

For the longest time, I’d binge eat on huge bags of chips, Oreo’s, and candy when no one was looking. Overwhelmed with guilt, I’d starve myself and commit to eating only celery sticks and lemon water for a few days before I’d find myself crashing and burning the very next week.

Overeating, whether it’s a “mild” or a “severe” habit, can prevent you from ever reaching your ultimate health and fitness goals.

Here are a few simple tips to help you overcome overeating:

  1. CLEAN OUT THE PANTRY: Out of sight, out of mind. Your environment is stronger than your willpower. If you have it in the house, someone (whether that’s you or someone else) will eventually eat it.

  2. STOCK UP ON READILY CONSUMABLE FRUITS & VEGGIES: Have fresh fruits and cut up veggies ready and available to eat the moment you have a pang of hunger. Prep it in advance so that you have a healthy option for when you’re on-the-go.

  3. REMOVE DISTRACTIONS: When you’re watching Netflix or eating while driving, we don’t realize how much we’re eating when our mind is elsewhere. Commit to sitting down at a table and becoming present in the moment while you eat your food. You’ll become more aware of your hunger and fullness cues when you’re 100% present and in the moment.

These are just some of the MANY tips I share in my GLOW UP! Program + Membership
